Is it that time of year again? Is sports season just around the corner? Maybe it’s the long-anticipated summer camp that children and parents have been waiting for. DOC-AID Urgent Care can handle all your physical needs for school, band, and sports. We realize that life doesn’t always run on a 9 – 5 schedule; whether you’re running a little behind or right on time, we offer sport, band, and camp physicals at an affordable price.
Sports season and summer camp are exciting times for the whole family. We all know how important it is to keep your sports superstar happy and healthy. If you have a school-aged child, chances are they will be required to get a physical to participate in a school sports team or summer camp. We don’t want you to miss out! DOC-AID Urgent Care wants to ensure your little one’s health and fitness are ready to hit the field, track, pool, or gym.
Sometimes things happen last minute; DOC-AID Urgent Care is an excellent resource for all those last-minute needs. Trying to find time to make a doctor’s appointment can be difficult; when you need a sport, band, and or camp physical, walk into our clinic any time to complete your physicals.
Participation in Sports, Band, or Camps requires an Evaluation of the Following:
- Your family's complete medical history, including any serious illnesses, heart disease, asthma, or diabetes
- Allergies
- Past surgeries or hospitalizations
- Blood Pressure
- Vision
- Height and Weight
- Joints, posture, and flexibility
Clearance for Sports, Band, and Camp Physicals
Patients will need to provide clearance letters from their physician(s). Vision screening will be performed. Bring glasses if you wear them on a daily basis.
Conditions for which you will need a clearance letter from your physician include but are not limited to:
- Existing heart condition
- Concussions within the last two years
- Broken bone within the last year
- Surgery (or surgeries) within the previous year
- Scoliosis -in addition to the clearance letter, bring a recent x-ray with a degree of curvature (if diagnosed)

Pre-season concussion baseline. If your child sustains a head injury having a concussion baseline will give your child's doctor a better understanding of the severity of the injury. Contact us today to schedule an evaluation.

We accept most major health insurance and offer self-pay options for those who are uninsured.

We serve patients locally in Laredo, Freer, Hebbronville, Zapata, Carrizo Springs, Cotulla, Eagle Pass, and throughout the state of Texas via our Telehealth option. Our providers can send lab orders to any Quest or LabCorp location in Texas. We can also provide referrals to specialists when needed. Not all appointments qualify for telehealth visits.
